José Medrado medium of multiple faculties, some raised from childhood, others in adolescence, started to paint mediumisticly when he was 27 years old, and the spirit Renoir came to him proposing to transform paint into bread.
At first, Medrado was reluctant to accept the invitation because he had never done any painting course and did not understand art. But the proposal was exactly this, turn him into live brush and thus help the orphanage, supported by Cidade da Luz, that was facing financial difficulties.

In May 2013, Medrado began to make mediumistic sculptures. The first was the Cristo Doloroso, by Antônio Francisco Lisboa (Aleijadinho). Aleijadinho was a sculptor from the Colonial Period (18th century), being considered the most important artist of the baroque style in Brazil.
